A little over a week ago The Indianapolis Star featured an article about Nancy Fitzgerald and the ministry Anchorsaway. As some of you may know, I worked for Anchorsaway some years ago and was privileged to contribute to its transition from a long-standing, effective ministry in the Fitzgeralds' home to an official non-profit organization which now reaches across the country and beyond.
Since then, it's been encouraging to watch the far-reaching impact of the organization. Anchorsaway is essentially a worldview/apologetics training program for high school seniors, helping to equip them to stand firm in their faith as they prepare to step into the college environment. In my travels and speaking events, many people have asked me about whether there is anything out there to help ground young people in their faith. For any of you who are looking for a comprehensive, yet immensely-practical, curriculum/training program to reach high school and college students, I would highly recommend the Anchorsaway program to you. Speaking from my own personal experience, it is a vital ministry attempting to meet a pivotal spiritual need among young people today. And there cannot be too many people banding together in this effort.
