Resident Atheist

I really don't understand what more time there is going to do for us. What is going to change in the next 12 months that will make the outcome any different? I never subscribed to the 'you break it, you fix it' policy, so this seems like a huge waste of resources.

My father has asked me a very interesting question, which I have been pondering for years: why can't we split Iraq into 3 countries? I've never heard anyone address this, and it seems like such a logical solution.


I've heard of that idea before, from two sources. I support it, BUT I just don't think it will stop the violence. They're going to kill each other, hate america, and inflict as much harm as possible regardless of invisible lines in the sand.

I don't disagree that it won't stop the violence, but it might give us enough time to get the heck out of there. As long as they are fighting each other, they aren't fighting us. I've got no problem with going over there every 15 years or so and stirring the pot a little.
