Q6. What authors/books do you recommend if I wanted to do further reading on any these subjects?

One’s particular interest(s) in this area will presumably determine your starting point for further study. Below represents the beginnings of a primary list of authors and books that will hopefully prove helpful in that effort:

  1. C.S. Lewis, Mere Christianity – Some people tend to find Lewis a bit too intellectual for their tastes, but his works are full of rich content. Click here for a partial list of his books.
  2. Lee Strobel – His entire The Case for… (Faith, Christ, a Creator, etc.) series includes hard-hitting interviews with numerous experts and well-respected scholars within the historical Christian community. His books are well-documented and relatively easy to process. Great resources for anyone who is beginning to explore these areas.
  3. Ravi Zacharias – has an entire array of books which are very beneficial to those studying various issues about how to effectively articulate and defend the Christian faith. Click here for a partial list of his books.
  4. Josh McDowell – has some excellent books and resources whose meticulous detail provides helpful documentation for those wrestling with a number of issues related to the Christian faith.
  5. James Emery White – has a variety of small, but very thoughtful, books related to worldview. Easy to read, and difficult to put down.
  6. Rick Cornish, 5 Minute Apologist is an easy-to-read resource book which provides a very quick synopsis of all of the major issues and objections that Christians will face.
  7. The Apologetics Study Bible – This Bible is a must-have resource for any Christian. Not only does it provide excellent study notes, but it also contains a virtually countless wealth of information and articles about various worldview and apologetical issues that are represented in the world today. This all-in-one Bible is especially helpful for introducing a person to many of these issues and providing the biblical foundation for addressing them. Highly recommended!
  8. The Pocket Handbook of Christian Apologetics – is a pocket-sized apologetics resource that is full of invaluable information on the basic arguments for promoting the Christian faith. This is a must-have resource for any Christian who wants to seriously address issues of the faith.
